In 2025, the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club’s Children’s Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Program marked its 10th year of helping protect children through life-saving swim and water safety education. What began as a practical response to a serious local need has become one of CMIRC’s longest-running and most meaningful service projects.

On September 27, 2025, CMIRC will present its Children’s Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Program at the Chiang Mai Expat Club.

In Rotary Year 2024–2025, the program reached more than 500 fourth-grade students across 11 Chiang Mai municipal schools, Wat Suan Dok School, and 14 rural schools in Phrao District. CMIRC provided hands-on survival swimming and water safety training, ensuring that each child received life-saving instruction tailored to their local environment.
