Welcome to a new year — a year in which we can consolidate our existing projects and, with an expanded membership, explore new ways to improve the health, safety, and education of children in Northern Thailand.
The past couple of months have been particularly busy. Rotary District 3350 submitted our Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH) project to the Genting Regional Conference for consideration, and two members travelled to Malaysia to represent the club. While the project was not selected for an award on this occasion, it was encouraging to see our work recognised at a regional level.

We completed vision screening for more than 700 children across 12 schools, and have already added two additional schools to our schedule for this month. In Phrao, certificates were presented to over 300 children who completed the Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Program.
Our Winter Clothing Appeal was another highlight, with more than 1,000 kilograms of clothing collected and distributed to communities in need.
Several members joined scholarship students and Rotarians from other Chiang Mai clubs to celebrate Christmas and Children’s Day at local schools. I hope everyone enjoyed the festive season as much as our team did at BK Kee House, where the celebrations were especially memorable.
We are currently selling tickets for our major fundraiser of the year, the Golf Ball Drop, which will take place later this month. Your support of this event is greatly appreciated.
