While the beginning of the year is often a quiet time in many places, CMIRC began the year at full speed with leadership, service, partnership, and hands-on project work across northern Thailand. As reflected in the President’s March message, the club has remained active on multiple fronts, continuing its commitment to meaningful Rotary service from the very first weeks of the year.
Among the month’s highlights was participation in a district leadership retreat in Chiang Khun, bringing together district presidents and executives. Club representatives also visited Mae Suai Hospital, where CMIRC and partner Rotary clubs helped provide much-needed medical equipment. At the same time, the club expanded its Vision Screening Program by adding two new schools and screening more than 100 children, ensuring that those in need received glasses and follow-up support.
CMIRC also joined Children’s Day activities with partner Rotary clubs at schools in Doi Lao and at Anusarnsunthorn School for the Deaf, sharing food, games, and joyful moments with students. In addition, the club presented more than 300 Water Safety Certificates, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to child safety and preventive education.
Another meaningful moment came through fellowship with other clubs at a presentation on the End Polio Now campaign, a reminder of Rotary’s extraordinary global impact. As members travel in the months ahead, CMIRC’s service work continues, grounded in compassion, collaboration, and steady commitment to improving lives across the region.
