President's Message For April 2026

The past two months have been active and rewarding, reflecting Rotary’s spirit of Unite for Good.

One of the highlights for me was a week-long fellowship trip to China, visiting Guangzhou and Guilin with members from four other Rotary clubs. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen friendships, share ideas, and continue building meaningful connections across Rotary.

March also began with Rotary Speech Day, where I had the pleasure of serving as a judge. Around 60 students from across Northern Thailand competed in three age groups, delivering impressive speeches in English. The winners progressed to the district-level presentation, and it was inspiring to see so many young people speak with confidence and purpose.

Our service work also continued during this period. We spent two weeks at Agape helping with a school holiday program alongside friends from Australia. In addition, we partnered with Interact and EarlyAct students from Concord Unity School to deliver winter clothing to a nearby village, combining practical support with youth engagement.

We have also continued progress on Global Grants. Funds from Rotary Clubs of Jeju Island, South Korea have come in, and the task of providing clean water to villages in Northern Thailand will begin soon. We are continuing to build on previous WASH projects, with further conversations underway for future initiatives.

Finally, as Songkran approached, we visited Rotary clubs to participate in the traditional water-pouring ceremony, honoring Lanna culture and showing respect to senior members.

Overall, it has been a period of strong service, collaboration, and fellowship. I look forward to continuing this momentum with all of you.
