BULLETIN

June 2023

June has arrived, and with it comes a special edition of the CMIRC Bulletin, where we proudly share our annual project reports as this Rotary Year wraps up. Before we delve into our accomplishments, let's also acknowledge the significance of June in Thailand - a month that holds two important national holidays: Visakha Bucha Day and H.M. Queen's Birthday.

Visakha Bucha Day, observed on the full moon day of the sixth lunar month (June 3 in 2023), is a spiritual occasion. It commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing of Gautama Buddha, inspiring us to reflect on his teachings of compassion and wisdom.

We also celebrate H.M. Queen Suthida's Birthday on June 3. This national holiday is a time for gratitude and admiration towards Her Majesty's remarkable contributions to the nation, embodying love, compassion, and leadership.

June is also Pride Month. Chiang Mai held its Pride Parade on Sunday, May 28, kickstarting Thailand's Pride Month celebration as the first province to organize an official event.
