President's Message For March 2025

Updated: Mar 25

As we reflect on the past month, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to service.

On February 21st, we celebrated our club’s 11th birthday, marking another milestone in our journey of making a difference. This year, we gathered a little early to commemorate the occasion in our new meeting location, and I want to thank everyone who contributed to making it a special event.

Our service projects continue to shine as a beacon of hope. Recently, we cleaned and painted the wall at BK KEE House, helping to brighten the space for Burmese children and adults seeking medical assistance in Chiang Mai. When paint scrapers were in short supply, the ever-resourceful residents turned to machetes, short swords, and even kitchen utensils—proving that where there’s a will, there’s a way!

We are also strengthening our international Rotary connections. We recently bid farewell to Rotarian Jake, who returned to Jeju Island, South Korea, and warmly welcomed Rotarian Jae from South Korea. Our commitment to fostering global partnerships continues, as Glen, our Foundation Chair, has been working with two South Korean Rotary Clubs on two Global Grants to expand our existing Water and Sanitation Global Grant. Additionally, our board has approved moving forward with a Sister Club agreement with Jakes Halim Rotary Club on Jeju Island, further cementing our ties with South Korean Rotarians.

In addition to these efforts, we also provided financial assistance for the mobile incubator unit for Mae Tuen Hospital, which was successfully delivered this month—an initiative that will have a lasting impact on the lives of newborns and their families.

These projects remind us that Rotary is about action, impact, and community. Thank you all for your service and commitment. I look forward to working alongside you in the coming months as we continue to make a meaningful difference.
