President's Message For July 2025

Updated: Jul 20

There’s a sign on a coffee shop I walked past this week that read: “The best way to make dreams come true is to wake up.” Unlike our club, they hadn’t woken up so I couldn’t buy a coffee.

But our club is wide awake. We wake up every day to fulfill our mission: to improve child safety, health, and education in the communities we serve.

Our School Vision Screening Program, launching again soon, checks the eyesight of children in government schools, and provides glasses, free of charge, to those who need them.

Through our Children's Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Programs, both in Chiang Mai and Phrao, children learn vital survival skills in and around water.

In villages across Northern Thailand, we support projects that provide clean water and sanitation, improving not only health but also economic viability. Our Children's Winter Clothing Appeal ensures that children in remote villages and refugee camps stay warm during the cold season.

Our commitment to vulnerable children continues through our support of BK Kee Patient House and Agape Home, offering safe environments and access to critical medical care.

With our Scholarship Program, we help students pursue higher education, empowering them to one day give back to their own communities.

We all have dreams. And we are in the remarkable position to help hundreds of children achieve theirs.

I am proud, and deeply humbled, to serve as the President in 2025-2026, of a club of Rotarians who wake up each day committed to making a difference.
