In Rotary, March is Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Month, a time to reflect on one of the most essential areas of service and one that is especially meaningful for CMIRC.

For our club, this month’s theme connects closely to the work we continue to support in northern Thailand. From major WASH initiatives to our long-standing commitment to children’s water safety, CMIRC has seen how access to safe water, sanitation, hygiene, and water education can improve health, protect lives, and strengthen communities.  

What makes this Rotary theme so powerful is its practicality. Clean water and safe sanitation are not abstract ideas. They affect daily life, dignity, education, and opportunity. They are among the clearest ways Rotary can create lasting change.

As we mark this month, it is a good moment to recognize the impact of this work and the importance of continuing it. For CMIRC, March’s theme is not only a Rotary message. It is something our club is actively helping put into action.
