Caregiver Training Program Certificate Award Ceremony at Payap University

Glenn Pfaff and Usar Suragarn, Presidents-Elect of the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club (CMIRC), were deeply honored to attend the Certificate Award Ceremony for the Caregiver Training Program at Payap University. The event celebrated the dedication and achievements of graduates who have completed rigorous training to serve older adults and individuals in need with compassion and professionalism.

The ceremony was presided over by Payap University President, Dr. Apicha, who personally presented certificates to the graduates. In her address, she encouraged them to continue their caregiving journeys with empathy, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose, reminding everyone present that caregiving is not merely a profession but a calling that reflects Rotary’s Second Mile Spirit.

CMIRC was especially proud to recognize two graduates who were CMIRC scholarship recipients, supported in partnership with the Equitable Education Fund. One of the recipients, Pihyaporn, delivered a heartfelt thank-you speech expressing her deep gratitude to CMIRC and the Equitable Education Fund for the opportunity to study, grow, and move forward in life. Her words powerfully reflected the transformative impact that access to education and skills training can have on young people and their families.

Adding to the celebration, both CMIRC-supported graduates have already received job offers from nursing homes in Chiang Mai, demonstrating how this program has created tangible pathways to employment and long-term stability.

Seeing these young graduates step forward with confidence, compassion, and purpose reminded us of something deeply true: when you give people skills, you give them a lifetime - a future filled with dignity, opportunity, and the ability to serve others with heart and professionalism.
