The new school year officially kicked off on Tuesday, May 13, across Thailand — and that means the CMIRC is once again diving into action to launch our school-based Children’s Water Safety and Drowning Prevention Program!

We are proud to continue providing 15 hours of essential survival swim and water safety instruction to every 4th-grade student enrolled in the 11 Chiang Mai Municipal Schools. Thanks to the continued support from our partners, we will also extend the programme to the Wat Suan Dok School, supported by a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Chiang Mai-Wattana.
This year, we are thrilled to announce that funding from both the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (Rotary Club Seattle 4) and a major local donor will allow us to fully sponsor swimming and water safety lessons for over 300 children. All training will be delivered by Kru Payu’s team of internationally certified instructors at our trusted partner facility, Bronco Kids Sport Club.
We’ll be back in the pool starting next month, helping equip local children with life-saving skills that can protect them in and around water.
Thank you to all our supporters and partners for helping make this life-saving programme possible.
