B.K. Kee Patient House Update in April 2026

With the smoky season upon us, activities at B.K. Kee Patient House have moved into the new library facility that CMIRC helped build last year. The space is air conditioned, large enough to accommodate the patients and caregivers, and provides a more comfortable environment during the high-pollution season.

The recently donated television has also made it possible to play Burmese music videos in the background, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. This new arrangement has worked so well that it may become a permanent home for activities.

There have also been practical improvements around the property. A large water collection tank has been moved from its previous location near the small playground to the garden area. This will create more space for expanding and upgrading the playground with new playground and exercise equipment, while also making it easier to irrigate the garden.

On April 13, BCMF-B.K. Kee Patient House also celebrated Songkran with the patients. The day was filled with joy, laughter, and a spirit of togetherness as patients, caregivers, and staff welcomed the new season as one extended family.

In keeping with the Songkran tradition of cleansing, staff also worked together to deep-clean the house water tanks. Keeping the water systems fresh and clean is one more way the team continues to prioritize the health and well-being of the patients.
