A Cool New Library and Continued Fun at the BK Kee House

The past months saw the purchase and installation of an air conditioning system in the recently completed new library. The addition ensures a comfortable environment for residents attending presentations and other events, making the space even more welcoming. It’s been remarkable to see how well this library project turned out—the design was thoughtful, and the construction work truly excellent.

Since our last bulletin, our activities at the house on every other Sunday have continued with much enjoyment. Bingo remains a favorite, but the highlight for many is B. K. Kee has Talent. Despite the ongoing turnover of patients receiving medical treatment in Chiang Mai, the event continues to showcase a steady stream of talent. There are some wonderful dancers among the residents, and it’s always entertaining to see the Rotarians attempting to match their grace on the dance floor.

Some residents are initially shy about performing, but the supportive environment encourages them to join in. In turn, they love setting up Rotarian visitors to perform, adding to the laughter and fun for everyone involved.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to brainstorm craft ideas to include with our art activities, ensuring our creative sessions continue to engage and delight the residents.
