BULLETIN

April 2025

April 2025 | Bulletin | Chiang Mai International Rotary Club

April’s Rotary theme, Maternal and Child Health, reminds us of Rotary’s unwavering commitment to ensuring every mother and child receives the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.

Around the world, Rotary Action Groups are engaged in impactful projects—improving access to prenatal care, reducing infant mortality, and promoting child development. In this issue, we highlight some of those global efforts, showing how Rotarians work hand in hand with communities to build a healthier future.

Closer to home here in Thailand, one area that deserves greater attention is the growing concern about excessive noise exposure and its impact on children's hearing.

Prolonged exposure to high noise levels—whether from urban environments, traffic, or schools without proper acoustic control—can lead to hearing loss, language delays, and learning difficulties. As we champion maternal and child health, we must also advocate for safe sound environments for our youngest community members. Prevention and awareness are key.
