July 2025 is Maternal and Child Health Month in Rotary

ree

July 2025 marks Maternal and Child Health Month, a Rotary observance that highlights our commitment to supporting the well-being of mothers and children around the globe.

This vital theme aligns with one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus: Saving Mothers and Children.

Each year, an estimated 5.9 million children under the age of five die from preventable causes, and hundreds of thousands of women suffer complications during pregnancy and childbirth due to a lack of access to basic healthcare. Rotary clubs worldwide step up to tackle these challenges through sustainable solutions, including health education, improved access to care, and community-based maternal health projects.

This month serves as a reminder that investing in maternal and child health isn’t just lifesaving. It’s foundational to building stronger, more resilient communities. As we begin a new Rotary Year, may we continue to serve with compassion and purpose, ensuring that every mother and child has a chance to thrive.
