On November 17, 2025, the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club (CMIRC) joined a delegation of Thai Rotary clubs and leaders to take part in a World Community Service project at Ban Mae Lankam School in Samoeng, in collaboration with Rotary District 3730 (South Korea) and Rotary District 3360 (Thailand).
Representing CMIRC were President-Elects Glen Pfaff and Usar Suragarn, Past President & Public Image Chair Viki Thomason, Youth Programs Director Myrna Muyana, and Rotarians Andrew and Colleen Boud, Simon and Katarina Ashworth, and Al Geyer. They joined Rotarians and youth leaders from Thailand and South Korea in a strong show of international cooperation and service.
On the same day, the UCIS Interact Club proudly participated alongside more than 360 Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Interactors from Thailand and Korea. UCIS was represented by four staff members and 13 dedicated Interactors, who served with enthusiasm, teamwork, and a genuine commitment to making a difference.
Community service activities included painting school buildings, improving the kindergarten playground, constructing and painting floors, cooking meals, and engaging students through games, arts, and crafts. UCIS Interactors worked hand in hand with Rotarians, Rotaractors, and fellow Interactors, creating smiles, lasting memories, and meaningful impact for the Ban Mae Lankam School community.

This World Community Service project highlighted the strength of Rotary’s global network and the positive outcomes that result when clubs and youth programs collaborate across borders to support education and community development.
