Golf Ball Drop FUNdraiser: Fun from the Sky for a Great Cause

The Chiang Mai International Rotary Club is excited to invite the community to one of our most anticipated FUNdraising events of the year - the Golf Ball Drop! This high-energy, family-friendly event promises excitement, laughter, and the chance to win fantastic prizes, all while supporting meaningful Rotary projects.


On Saturday, January 31, 2026, hundreds of numbered golf balls will be dropped from a tethered hot air balloon, creating a thrilling spectacle. Participants do not need to be present to win. After the drop, the owners of the three balls closest to the marked “X” will take home the prizes.


Each golf ball costs 1,000 THB, and only 300 balls are available, making this a limited and exciting opportunity.



Prizes include:

  • 🥇 Grand Prize: 30,000 THB in gift cards of your choice

  • 🥈 Second Prize: 10,000 THB in gift vouchers

  • 🥉 Third Prize: 5,000 THB in gift vouchers


All funds raised from the Golf Ball Drop directly support CMIRC’s current and future children’s projects, with a focus on child safety, health, and education in Northern Thailand.


As an added bonus, hot air balloon rides will be available for families and children for just 100 THB per person, adding even more fun to the afternoon.


Please note that access to the Golf Ball Drop is available exclusively to attendees of the Chiang Mai Expats Club (CEC) Annual Family BBQ Picnic, with picnic entry purchased separately.
