The Presidential Installation Ceremony of seventeen Chiang Mai-area Rotary clubs took place at the Chiang Mai Grandview Hotel on June 24, 2023. Chiang Mai International Rotary Club members - Incoming President Roger Lindley, Outgoing President Viki Thomason, Past President John Schorr, Past President Dylan Thomason, Membership Chair Ma Myrna Muyana, Youth Programs Director Raphael Djemal, Secretary Owen Hodgson, Treasurer Yao Ratanasopa, and Rotarian Gary Herman attended.
We welcomed our new-old President Roger Lindley. Congratulations! For those of you, who do not know, Roger was the Charter President when our club was founded in 2014. He is also a member of the District 3360 Training Team.
Congratulations to John Schorr on his new position as D3360 Assistant District Governor. He will serve the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of Chiang Mai West, and the Rotary Club of Chiang Mai North.
Our merry Rotarians did not go home empty-handed from the District 3360 Awards 2022-2023. PP John was awarded for his outstanding service to promote The Rotary Foundation and goals of world understanding and peace in regards to the CMIRC Water and Sanitation Global Grant Project. President Viki was recognized for her outstanding accomplishments and contributions dedicated to Rotary. The icing on the cake was that CMIRC also took home the Rotary Brand Center's Public Image Award.
