District Governor Supaluck Lohajoti presided over the Opening Ceremony on Saturday, 18 March 2023. Past District Governor Roongranee Sangsiri made welcome remarks as the Chair of the Organizing Committee. DG Supaluck then spoke about the theme of RY 2022-2023, "Imagine Rotary." Dr Somthai Wongjareun made a fascinating presentation about improving the environment.
Past President Adisorn Saksonwiriya introduced some notable community service projects. PDG Chamnan Chanruang made a presentation on the Rotary Action Group Against Slavery. PP Surapol Kosondilokkul presented the 2021-2022 District Financial Report, followed by PP Dr Natthanin Sestawanich's Public Image Report.
PP Siriluck Chaiyawong, Youth Exchange Chair, and DRR. Pachara Sriwilai, District Rotaract Representative, spoke on Youth Services and the Youth Exchange Program. PP Chayakarn Pittrapan, Rotaract Chair, reported on Rotaract Activities. CP Pattana Pittrapan made a presentation on the "Safe Roads Save Lives" Initiative.
The theme of the evening program was green, hence the costumes. It was great fun, as always!
The first Speaker on Sunday, 19 March, was District Governor Nominee Apisak Jompong. He reported on the District Rotary Foundation. PDG Dr Waewdao Limlenglert shared her report on Membership Development. DG Supaluck shared the District Resolutions with the audience. Khun Wathit Tungrapeelert, the current District Governor-Elect (to be officiated in RY 2023-2024 as District Governor), shared his vision and goals for District 33060. Then DGN Apisak (DG for RY 2024-2025) and DGND Jaruwat Techawoot (DG for RY 2025-2026) said their acceptance speeches.
PDG Suparie Chatkunyarat promoted this year's Rotary International Convention that will take place in Melbourne, Australia. The Conference concluded with P Narit Kannika, the Chair of the District Conference Organizing Committee for 2023-2024, handing over the flag to the representatives of the following District Conference venue: Chiang Rai.
