August 2025: Membership and New Club Development Month in Rotary

ree

Each month, Rotary highlights a different theme that reflects the values and priorities of our global organization. For August, the focus is on Membership and New Club Development; a reminder that the strength of Rotary lies in its members and the spirit of service that unites us.

Membership is at the heart of everything we do. Without dedicated Rotarians, Interactors and Rotaractors, there would be no hands to serve, no ideas to innovate, and no voices to advocate for change. This month challenges us to think about how we can strengthen, grow, and diversify our club so that it continues to thrive in the years ahead.

At CMIRC, we are proud to welcome new members who bring fresh energy, skills, and perspectives to our service projects. Each new Rotarian is a vital part of our Rotary family, helping us expand our reach and deepen our impact in Chiang Mai and beyond.

New Club Development is equally essential. Around the world, Rotary is committed to forming new clubs in communities that may not yet have a Rotary presence and to developing flexible club models that suit the lifestyles and needs of today’s members. Whether it’s traditional clubs, satellite clubs, or new-generation Interact or Rotaract clubs, the goal is the same: to make Rotary accessible to all who share our vision of “Service Above Self.”

This August, let’s reflect on what membership means to us personally and as a club. Let’s reach out to friends, colleagues, and community leaders who may be seeking meaningful opportunities to give back. And let’s celebrate the diversity of backgrounds, professions, and cultures that enrich our Rotary experience.

By strengthening our membership and supporting the growth of new clubs, we ensure that Rotary will continue to be a force for peace, understanding, and positive change in our world.
