Annual District Governor Visit to CMIRC

On September 2, 2025, the Chiang Mai International Rotary Club (CMIRC) had the honor of welcoming District Governor Jar Techavut and his spouse, Churee Techavut, of Rotary District 3360 during their annual visit, hosted at the Chiangmai SP Hotel.

The evening began with a Board of Directors meeting, where the DG and his entourage were presented with an overview of CMIRC’s projects, achievements, and contributions to the community.

Following the board session, members and guests gathered for a delightful buffet dinner, setting the stage for a night of fellowship and Rotary spirit. The District Governor then addressed the full membership and guests with a special presentation, highlighting Rotary’s mission and shared goals for the year.

During the evening, CMIRC members were recognized for their dedication with the Every Year Every Rotarian (E.Y.E.R.) award, and were presented with thoughtful gifts from the DG. A highlight of the night was the induction of two new members, Sasihorn “Aorn” Pataragrida and Glenn “2” Dixon, further strengthening our CMIRC family.

We were also delighted to welcome several potential members who attended the event and experienced firsthand the fellowship and spirit of Rotary at CMIRC.

Adding to the international atmosphere, we exchanged banners with visiting Rotarians from Bali, Indonesia.

It was truly a memorable evening filled with fellowship, recognition, and inspiration as CMIRC continues its mission of “Service Above Self.”
