What You May Have Missed in June 2022

Every other Sunday visit by CMIRC club members, under champion Rotarian Gary, to the Burma Children Medical Fund's B.K. Kee Patient House for fun, games, food and conversation.

Rotarians Nicha and Bill T. championed the distribution of survival packages of rice and essential dry food items to people in need in Chiang Mai area.

Tuesday, June 7, Service Project Committee meeting at Nakornping Condo.

Tuesday, June 7, the first Tuesday of the month a hybrid (ZOOM & in-person) CMIRC meeting occurred at the Chiang Mai Orchid Hotel. The program was presented by Thomas Singer of the Raintree Foundation on “Helping People to Help Themselves”.

Monday, June 9, we had our 9@9 ZOOM meeting to stay in touch with our club members wherever they may be in the world.

Saturday & Sunday, June 11 & 12, D3360 District Conference at the Empress Hotel Convention Center attended by Rotarians Gary, Nancy, and Roger.



Tuesday, June 14, kick-off of the CMIRC Children’s Water Safety & Drowning Prevention Project (CWS&DPP) for eleven tessaban schools and Wat Suan Dok School at Bronco Kids Sport Club with Kru Payu Swim providing water safety instruction.

Tuesday, June 21, CMIRC third Tuesday of the month meeting (a hybrid meeting) at the Chiang Mai Orchid Hotel. The program was presented by Matt Friedman of The Mekong Club on the topic “Modern Slavery and the Private Sector”

Tuesday, June 21, birth of Andrew Benz Thomason.

Thursday, June 23, Fundraising Committee meeting at Nakornping Condo.



Saturday, June 25, the Chiang Mai Expats Club (CEC) regular monthly meeting at the Duangtawan Hotel where CMIRC had sponsor table supported by Rotarians Ken, Gary (pictured above) and Roger.

Saturday, June 25, Chiang Mai Area Rotary Clubs (15) Presidents' installation at the Duangtawan Hotel attended by PE Viki, President Dylan, Charlotte, Blair and CP Roger.

Tuesday, June 28, the monthly CMIRC Board meeting at Nakornping Condo.

Wednesday, June 29, cleanup of Room 208 (proposed CMIRC Foundation) office in preparation of inspection by Provincial and tessaban officials on June 30.

Thursday, June 30, meeting of proposed CMIRC Foundation officers and Lawyer Joe with representatives from the Provincial Governors Office and the Tessaban Offices of Culture and Welfare. This is inspection step for Provincial Governor issuing certification of the CMIRC Foundation.
