About the Event
Shayne a former IT Technician from Australia, came to Thailand in 2010 to help people. Shayne has been volunteering in many capacities for 10 years in Chiang Mai.
Shayne has been English teaching, is a volunteer coordinator and visa expert and now a project coordinator for a small foundation.
Being a problem solver, Shayne is always trying to help simplify and streamline life in small ways and big. He spoke to CMIRC 2 years ago about the trash problem in Thailand. His Chiang Mai Clean City project is aiming to get everyone, everywhere picking up trash for one hour.
Shayne also loves Thai people and is saddened by the road fatality statistics in Thailand, which is the per capita most deadly roads in the world. He is sharing with us some thoughts about this at the June 2 meeting.
