CMIRC Regular In-Person Club Meeting

BEAM Education Foundation's Deputy Director Ko Phyo will speak about the vocational and higher education preparation and scholarship programs for migrants at BEAM's Chiang Mai Center.

Wai Phyo Aung @ Ko Phyo has been working for BEAM Education Foundation since the beginning. He first jointed BEAM as a subject teacher in the higher education program. He was promoted as the Admin & Finance Coordinator in 2014 and then as the Higher Education Program Coordinator in 2015. In July 2019, he was promoted as the Deputy Director of BEAM Education Foundation. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Bago University, Myanmar and a Master’s degree from Payap University. Along with BEAM, he is committed to addressing diverse needs of marginalized people as well as empowering them to be change makers for their communities. Entry into the hotel requires wearing a facial mask. Hand sanitizer is provided at the meeting sign-in desk. Tables in the meeting room and chairs are spaced for proper social distancing. Some gather for an “order off the menu” dinner at 5:45 PM at the hotel restaurant before the meeting.
